HEYYYYYY!!!! Maybe you're not reading his post right, or that you have no knowledge, which incidently makes you ignorant, of what an RSX-S with those mods is capable of. With a simple list of mods like he has posted, an RSX-S has absolutely no trouble keeping up with a stock S2K at all. How would I know this? Hmmm....maybe because a friend of mine has one with similar mods. And he has no problem with keeping up at all. From a stop, he would fall behind due to FWD, but from a roll, holycrap! it pulls hard. Those RSX's are strong little cars.

Please people, I beg you to read carefully before you make an azz out of yourself. A stock S would surely beat a stock RSX-s, but when an RSX has those mods and the S remains stock, it changes everything. C'mon Phil, be more careful in reading next time. You might've kicked a stock RSX's butt, but with those mods, it would've made it much more difficult to kick his butt. And the G35 wouldn't stand a chance.

With that being said, an S is NOT a drag car. It's an awesome track car, just like its designers were set out to do. 240hp from a tiny 4-banger is absolutely incredible already. If ya want more straightline speed, go FI. Simple as that!!!

Lose some rotating mass weight. Think lighter wheels (JDM BBS are like 4 lbs lighter per wheel) lighter tires (possibly), lightened flywheel/pressure plate, aftermarket brakes calipers and lighter rotors. There's some kind of exact formula, but for each pound of unsprung rotating weight lost is like losing 3 to 4 lbs of sprung weight.

An after market Odyessy battery can save like 25 lbs, also a titanium exhaust can save 30 lbs.

The formula for weight to HP is, something like each 10 lbs lost is like gaining 1 HP.

Adding up the above comes to a cumulative weight savings of about 200 lbs. If you add a personal weight loss of 20 lbs, you're up to 220 lbs, or ~22 HP.

All this for the mere cost of about $6400 and that's if you do the work yourself. That's only $290/HP.

Like the old saying, "how fast do you wanna go, depends on how much money you wanna spend."

Good luck!

Repeat after me... "The S is not a drag car".

If you want to be fastest in a straight line then buy a freaking motorcycle.

Ever heard the phrase, "got nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all."?? Or maybe you always act like that...

Many wings don't do a heck of a lot. I remember reading one post here... or some website... and the guy just attached a plain old metal sheet to the back, connecting from the boot's metal at an almost 45 degree angle. No fancy colours, nothing great, just a functionaly 45 degree wing. Apparently it made many seconds difference on the track.

So depending how this wing was designed and tested... it may or may NOT be really functional.

I belive the best way to get overall power in a s2k is to go with a Mugen ECU, Mugen Headers, Mugen Exhaust, Thermostat, fan switch and radiator cap. This is the setup im going to be running in about 2 months and will give you nice ganes through out the powerband (mostly in mid range).
