Default useability of VAFC or Neo after N/A

i've heard that once you go FI, you can no longer use a VAFC or Neo. is this true? i'm planning on getting a VAFC or Neo sometime soon to accompany my intake/exhaust/tp/soon to come header and want to know if it'd really be unusable if i decide to go FI sometime in the future.

TIA

I don't really knows. I just heard alot if you go NA then get VAFC. If you were to go TURBO, usually turbo - you would want to flash your ECU, so that beats the reason to have VAFC.

yea turbo usually requires at least a greddy emanage or to be on the safe side a stand alone EMS. That trumps the VAFC.

on the other hand people who do sell some how seem to get 20 off the new price somehow when they go to sell their used one. I think its a rip off but if people pay it then you are good to go.

If you buy a standard Comptech or Vortech 5 or 7 pound kit with FMU and the MAP over ride, then yes you can still use your VAFC to tune the car a little more.

it's really depends on your budget and what's your goal

vafc hack is pretty old trick for budget turbo, some cars like first and second gen dsm can get away with 500 hp with a safc hack but it doens't seems to be working that well on honda motor for some reason.

you can still find tune the kit SC(vt/CT) with FMU and FPR, but if i happen to get a SC or turbo, i would go with a stand alone for sure.(it's like running a new computer with a window 95, you are limiting the performance by not using the best software availble)

hmmm you make a lot of sense. i guess once i get to the point where i SC, i'll decide what to do. seeing as how i intend to be NA for maybe another year or so, i'll probably stick with a Neo for now, though. thanks!
