as far as the price.....I would shoot for $600-650. Mine was $850 shipped, with about $100 of it being shipping. It also only had 10k miles on it.

No drone. You can hear the exhaust at highway speeds, but no droning. Nothing to make you want to shoot yourself after an hour of driving.

You will need the crush rings for install. Comptech sells them for like $5 for all 3 of them. Nothing fancy, just a 3" crush and a pair of 2.5" crushes. You will have to dig out the old rings before you insert the new ones. Took about 2 hours to install (1 hour was for pulling out the old rings with a chisel and some needle nose plyers).

It drones around 3500-4000rpm. I had one and there are a few others running them here. They all drone. This car appears to need a helmholtz resonator to remove unwanted frequencies.

I know how to use the "search"; ...when it works.!!!
Just want to know, what would be considered a fair price.!!!
And ,that,I could not find with the search.!!!
Wasn't trying to be a smart ass. I was referring to you wanting more info on droning and other users' experience. There have been many threads on the qualities of the Comptech unit.

Emil, PM "vtecmom". She's had the Comptech for years and she daily drives her S. She's not really into the performance end of it. She got it because she wanted something with a different sound. She'll tell you how it is for drone and comfort and sound.
