used s/c s2k, 2003

Default used s/c s2k, 2003

how reliable is it buying a used s/c s2k, 2003. with around 14k miles. anything i should check for and worry about. should i check stuff like detonation, or does s/c don't cause detonaiton.thanks.

Should be reliable. I would check for a slipping clutch if it is stock. Also free play in the axels.

You will deffinently be able to tell if the clutch is slipping...Whenever you shift gears the RPMs will jump up and slowly go back down to where they are supposed to be...Also if you just gun it the RPMs will jump up and slowly go back down "slip"...not a good thing...as for axel play..The only thing I could think of that would be able to determine it is the sound it would make when you are taking off from a dead stop...A "clink" or something similar...I think the purchase would be a good investment...It'll save you 5k in the long run ...Wish my 02 came sced

You can feel the axels shake when you are on the gas hard. Or turning on the gas hard it feels like a wheel weight is missing.
