Not a fan of the idea. I'm a firm believer in keeping your car somewhat the way it came. Adding a turbocharger is one thing, but replacing the engine with twice the amount of cylinders that was definitely not produced by Honda is just ruining a beautiful machine IMO.
Couldn't have said that better myself. I agree with you 100%. Altho I guess this guy is the exception after all, for $500.00 cant go wrong. If it were me, id find a way to put honda's new 3.5L v6 in there. Thatd be a hot swap imo.

no the nine flat was what the dude in the s put down.

i dont think even with a renforced frame the s could handle enough power to do 7.5, thats just too fast.
I know of back-halfed Mustangs that run high 7 second quarter mile times on 10.5 in slicks

The link above is from last year and shows an S2k with LS1 swap.
Actually, no it doesn't. Read the thread. No finished car was ever shown.

I've seen that video so many times, yet it never gets old. That S is a monster. It's faster to the 1/4 mile than the Bugatti Veyron 16.4.

Finally took the time to read through all ten pages. How disappointing!

I've been tinkering with 86 and 87 Grand Nationals for years and just got tired of point and shoot cars... got back to my sporty car roots with a new s2000.... after peering into the engine bay from time to time I can't help buy think... a beater s2k... a GN motor and tranny... man, what a sleeper! Stay tuned... my old partner in crime in GN world who is pretty handy with a wrench is thinking we may have a new project car on the horizon. Sacralige?
