Plan to purchase the v-afc 2 unit, been searching and came out that some owner preferred it and some dont.

I know a well tuned v-afc yields around 10whp, but aside from that any additional info that i missed? pros, cons?

To v-afc owners, are you happy with the little mod?

 

i don't own one but have installed and helped tune one on an 24 psi turbocharged eclipse. i hound him all the time to get rid of that pos and replace it with a haltec but he doesn't want to spend the money. although he could have bought two more cars for the cost of aftermarket parts he has. it's quite useless on his car. i realize you're looking for s2000 results but imho it's useless without a wideband O2 and it's usefulness is short lived if you continue modifying past bolt ons. if you don't want to spend to much money i'd recommend an emanage. i installed and tuned on a turbo civic si and it's much more useful than the vafc. but both are only bandaids if you're going all out and looking for a good solution. haltec is soo much more powerful and i imagine, although i've never used, the aem ems is also.

basically my opinion is pos, but i tend to forget how much stuff cost

 

IMO for the price it is very well worth it for f/i applications. I'm not sure about n/a cars though.
