Ok I just have a couple quick questions, my friend has a black VAFC in his 1998 civic ex coupe and he just gave it to me (LONG STORY) so I know I need to buy the jumper harness and I just want to install it for engine display so when i get the harness and plug it in whats gonna happen will it throw a check engine light what do i need to do to make it just show display and not adjust stuff

 

Its kind of a lot of work to get it in there if you are just going to use it as a gauge. Also wouldn't recommend putting it in your car until you get the instructions for it. You can damage you car pretty seriously if you don't know what your doing. Basically if its in and properly installed and setup you shouldn't throw any cel's

 

well i am going to buy the jumper harness so its all plug n play i am just asking since it was installed in a 98 civic ex is there like a procedure to reset the control is all the old memory going to be caved on the control even when i install it on my car
