I know most of this has been covered, and I don't want to get into any V1 vs. others religious debate...

I just got all the wiring concealed for my V1, except for making the power connections to the fusebox. Where have other people connected the positive lead to (in detail)? I'm trying to avoid digging around with a volt meter to find something that's hot while the ignition is on. Any pictures would be especially helpfull.

There are three empty fuse box connectors. The top one is hot with the lights, the second one is hot all the time, and the bottom one with the ignition.

How does one wire to these? I was planning on tapping into a harness in the rear of the fuse box, is there an easier way?

Go to radio shack and buy a connector that slips over the blade in the fuse box. Much better than cutting into wires.

i dug thru the helm manual when i did mine to pick an appropriate wire. i used the inline wire splicer that came with the V1 to clip onto a big fat yellow wire under the dash.

I used the wire clip that came w/the V1 and hooked it to the "power outlet" hot wire off of the fuse box, then a ground to where ever convenient.

I mounted the V1 w/the suction cup mount just under the rear-view-mirror. It gets a good look out the back and it makes it tough (er) to see from behind. =)

Ran a new cord up along the window frame and down the driver a-pillar to the fuse box, pretty clean and the clip tucks away nice w/the passenger visor when not in use.
