Default Valentine One question

I'm not sure if this has been a problem with drivers using the V1. But at night I can't seem to figure out which radar is hitting me. The light comes up but since its dark I cant see if its X or K, or Ka. Only way is by distinguishing the beep tones. Is it only me thats having this problem?

Also does the new V1 detect KA-pop? I checked speedzones and it looks like Escort 8500 can but the V1 can't. I may be wrong here...

I just use the tones anyways since I'm looking for the source. Taking time to look at the panel means time you're not looking at the road...

Looks like V1 cannot detect Ka-POP which i think is a big issue right now. I'm not sure if this feature is really needed or im just too paranoid. I heard that Bee III is widely used now and can be a problem for V1 owners...

Im my experience....the Ka pop....the V1 will do just that...it will go on, and then go off quickly (when the cop is popping someone ahead of you). So your only real chance is hope he pops someone before you.

Pop can't be used against you in court anyway.. so what does it matter?

From what I read....POP is used by cops to get a general idea of your speed. He then must switch over to a regular mode, and get an accurate reading. POP is highly inaccurate, just used to tell the cop you are possibly speeding.

From V1's website Mike said that KaPOP isn't that big of a deal since its not accurate, but would it be nice if V1 can warn us earlier during the kaPOP so we can prepare before he flips the switch to standard mode? But on the other hand, Escort 8500 x50 claims that it is pOP capable but is disabled by default, and would cause more false Ka' alarms if enabled. So, if ever you have this function on the Escort ... I dont think ud be wanting to turn it on either..
