I don't like the guys at Carter Honda at all! I believe h2000 had his car door dinged there while it was being serviced... and I just think they have a bad attitude in general.

Lemon? Hmmm... possible, but unlikely... just make sure they replace EVERYTHING that's even remotely wrong... make a BIG FUSS! That always seems to work for me!

THe GM there is a really cool guy BUT the service advisors aren't too great. My slider on my seat is broken as it doesn't lock in place. I brought the advisor outside and showed him what was wrong and when i got back, of course he was gone for the day and they said NOTHING was wrong with my seat..grrr..on top of paying 104 bucks for the 2nd service, they didn't even turn off my maint. req. light..I'm never going back again and I don't recommend you do either..trying to find a new place that will show a little more quality in their work..
what color did you end up getting? I got my red baby at Carter....

Was cruising through your area last July 31. I stayed at the Horseshoe Bay motel (waiting for the morning ferry). After supper, a silver S2K (mine's silver, too) came in and parked 1/2 a block away from me. Was it any of you here? You and your lady stopped to have coffe at a little outdoor cafe across from Trolls. A couple of kids went by and they almost unscrewed their heads looking at your car and mine. I could hear one them saying to the other, "Look, there's two of them. They're the same kinda car." Too funny.

K, speaking of Carter - they are bending over backwards for me, after complaining to Ron at the dealership. My car was in the shop for 8 days, just got it back yesterday (supposedly fixed) and took it up to Whistler - v-tec was kicking in (it was a busy highway, so v. slow going), but I did feel it a couple of times. Today there is no v-tech again?! Plus the maint required light flashed upon start up, but turns off after that. It's been in three times for this same problem now - to no resolve?

This time around they replaced the v-tech selinoid, vacuum control selinoid (as it was stalling), replaced the starter, replaced roof latches and sticker plates.

With the v-tech still not working, and the what seems to be noticably louder engine than other s2000's, I have this sick feeling that I got a lemon.

Does anyone know the lemon laws in Canada? I've tried searching for it online, but get the US.

Help - one frustrated s2000 owner.

spoon - no worries about the clutch thing - thanks for your help!

This is a message to all you potential s2000 buyers out there in the Vancouver area. If you were thinking of buying your car at Carter Honda - please seriously re-consider. Without going into everything in great detail, I'll tell you why.

The folks down at Carter Honda and Carter HondaShop (service department) don't know what they are doing when it comes to fixing the s2000 - and if yours ever has problems, you'll encounter the same level of frustration that I am going through.

My car has not been working for six weeks now - each time it has come back from the dealership 'fixed' when it is not! I have spoken with everyone from managers, assistant managers, mechanics, and service advisors in order for the car to get sorted out and it simply isn't being fixed.

I will be calling Honda Canada tomorrow (as they are closed at 4:30) to lodge a formal complaint. From what I have read on these forums previously, this type of 'service' is nothing new to Carter.

I have suggested that they re-consider the statement on their web site which is:

Hi guys,

The Vancouver area drive (carried on the other thread) seems to be shaping up for Saturday, September 22nd, starting at QE park.

Just thought I'd post here too and remind everyone about it so that we can meet as many of each other as possible!

Here's the link to the thread:
