Default Vehicle Weight 2865lbs.

So, when Honda says a 2003 S2k weighs 2865lbs, what does that include? I assume it includes fluids, but does it include a full tank of gas?

Also, I assume it does not include the maximum weight of the driver and passenger...

Wiki knows

Curb weight (US English) or kerb weight (UK English) is the total weight of a vehicle with standard equipment, all necessary operating consumables (e.g., motor oil and coolant), a full tank of fuel, while not loaded with either passengers or cargo.[sup][1][/sup][sup][2][/sup]

Yeah, just found that. Now, can anyone tell me if the numbers Honda publishes are accurate? I'd like to know 'cause the class I race in is based solely on power to weight ratio and yesteday I had my car dyno'd for the frist time. I was impressed at 222hp/156ft-lbs on a 100 degree day. Just AEM V2 intake and Skunk2 exhaust with test pipe.

You know that dyno numbers are meaningless unless you are comparing the car before and after changes, right? Otherwise, that dyno might as well have told you your car is making 500 hp.

Yes, of course. But that's not what I was interested in. I'm concerened with what my car is making compared with the other cars in my class, non of which are S2k's.

But FWIW, a week before they had a dyno day, temps 10-15 degrees cooler, and most of the similarly modified S2k's were making 210-215. So, I still feel good.

I made a writeup on the weight of my 2003 S2K - CLICK HERE - and this included all fluids and a full tank of gas.
