Interested in getting a VeilSide or Speedster Tonneau Cover. What do you thank of the look, Rice and over the top , indifferent , or classy and sporty finish ? Opinions appreciated. Would love to see some up close and deferent angle pictures of both. Have some questions about them if anyone can answer. Does ether one come pre-painted? Is it possible to store in passenger component in a pinch (caught in the rain)? How much hardware is there to install?

i think it looks pretty good, though it can be better ...
it's a bolt-on, and it will take you some time to put it on and take it off.
and i think it's pretty big so you may not be able to put it in the trunk on the go.
i kinda hope to see a better design come out ...
(even better shape, easy go on and off, trunk store-able, lower price ... )

Checked 3 body shops today and 2 would not touch it (1 too small of a job the other doesn't do after market) and the 1 said a minimum of $150 per job. I would like to spend less than a $100 for having it painted. How much should be considered reasonable?

personally i think it looks tacky, atleast from all the pics I have seen. It
just looks like it was put up there. No nice seams, it doesn't flow.
Hopefully someone will make another one.

 

The one on e-bay went for $500. You can buy a brand new one for under $450. I will never understand all the fools who bid on e-bay. Have they ever heard of research?

 

I have one. It will not fit in the trunk or the paasenger side (with top up). I really like the looks. It attaches with little lips in the back like the regular cover, I was going to put the same snaps on the front that the stock cover uses but never got around to it. I bought it already painted. Any other questions let me know.

 

Which one do you have, The VailSide or Speedster? Is there any way of getting it to fit in passenger compartment, with towels to keep from scratching? Have you ever been caught in the rain and what did you do with cover? How and where did you buy already panted? What is the population of metro Katmandu, Nepal?
