Veilside su*ks
I don't think it is ever too late to resolve a problem. This thread will be used as reference for others to follow. If that was the case, then why wouldn't all threads be killed over a certain amount of time?

So Brandon you're telling me that Veilside after a year will solve Julia911's problem? If that's true good for Veilside and their customer service, but I'm willing to bet that after she had that thing painted the standard "it's your responsibility" or "preparation is needed for final results". No offense but if I spent $550 on a wing (which I have before), I would expect it to come with no scratches whether it is FRP or CF. I wouldn't expect it to be painted if it was FRP but for that amount of money and with a company like Veilside you would expect better quality control. My Mugen wing didn't have any scratches on it and it came ready to paint.
Swifty said "Fiberglass is goin to be painted anyway, so what does it matter if it's scratched?" I mean come on, the scratches were visible after she had the wing primed and painted, I think it matters. Just my opinion, but if Swifty wants to defend Veilside he would have been better served not saying anything then coming on and saying that

Actually, it is
If the product arrives at the customer pitted, scratched or with other surface defects then it's 1 of 3 problems:
a) poor manufacturing process. Gelcoat should pop out of the mould with a mirror smooth finish.
b) poor quality control. Somebody at the factory should have caught this.
c) poor packaging. If the damage was caused during shipping it should be packaged better.
Gelcoat should look fantastic without paint! Just a little wax to shine it up. Unacceptable IMO.

i think it varies by brand for the wing stuff.
when i got my wing for my toyota it has small holes, but i thought the shop
would take it out buy light sanding or something like that.
But i guess for my 200 bucks they painted and installed it.
I guess i can't ask them to do more.
