Veilside, what changes would u make
Many posts talk about how the veilside kit is ugly, and does not fit the lines of the car and a whole lot of other stuff.
I personally like the veilside, but I am curious as to what exactly is wrong with the kit. Meaning if u can modify the kit, what would u do? Would u then find it a little nicer? Or tell me what exactly u dislike about the kit.
Please do not respond with "I hate the kit," but rather elaborate as to what exactly is wrong with it.
I am not closed minded to people's opinions and I am just curious as to peoples tastes and thoughts about this.
Also if you have any photoshops that u would like to show, that would be a good way to illustrate your thoughts.
The more input the better, so please lets make a good conversation.

I will begin:
I dislike the idea that the side skirts, near the front fender are on top of the fender. They should be molded in or a different style.
The rear bumper flows with the car but the rear fender stickes out from the car. Near the side skirts the rear fenders flow but when it comes to the rear bumper it just sticks out then drops. Meaning the rear bumper near the rear fender should flare out more to keep the lines nice.
I have read that veilside does not flow with the car. The s2000 has a particular flow, which is beautiful.
The veilside kit makes the s2000 still flow nice, in my opinion, but its a whole different flow than the S2000's flow. It is a whole different look but the veilside kit, in my opinion, still flows together.

I have no problem with the kit.
In North America, the automobile enthusiast in general prefers subtle changes(aesthetically) and are reluctant to make drastic changes to their cars. The main focus is in making power. In Japan as well as Germany, the tuning scene is very diverse and aesthetic/aero modifications are just as important as suspension and powertrain mods.
Basically, people are not used to extreme changes and so it is harder for people to accept change. I'm not implying that North Americans are narrow minded, the tuning scenes have just been different.
also hehe, to me ugly is ugly and I'm not excusing ugliness because it is "different."
I like the Veilside though.

supera that is a good assumption. You look at the cars that we collect, mainly the muscle cars. The one thing that we americans love to do is make it stock. That is the ultimate muscle car look. Engine though is where the attention is focused. We will go as far as making the seats and interior stock too for the muscle cars.
There are things are things that I have seen that is just horrible. As far as the veilside kit though its still clean looking to me. Of course there are many seams and lines but some people like that.
Also look at the interior of the S2000, me i feel it is very plain, but I liked that with the S2000. That was one of the reasons I bought it. Some cars get way too busy on the inside. So you would almost figure someone looking for a plain interior would go for a plain stock clean S2000. But it is weird because I like plain interior but I like the veilside too.

i personally am much more of a "clean looking car" type guy. the only full replacement kit that i would ever look at for my S is the CWest, but other than that i would personally only stick with lip kits.
I like the veilside or i love the stock front end or even the new mastergrade wide body front end....but I just dont like a lip. I do not like the fact that the lip is on top of the bumper and is not molded. There is a seam.
Now I know u r thinking if u dont like non-molded and seams then why do i like the veilside sides? Well honestly I dont know....I like the sides but I wouldn't mind it molded...the seams still kinda make it flow...
I like amuse and J's when molded but I really do not like it not molded....
I also wanted to thank everyone that put some input in and being mature about it.
