While I was installing my own version of a Muzmat, I noticed 4 velcro patches on the inside of the top, next to the window. It looks like something nice and soft could be 'stuck' to the inside. Anybody used this yet?

I believe the velcro acts to keep the window in place, in part. The window is actually zippered in and is "easily" replaceable for about $150. I think the velcro bits are just added connection points.

I made a cover for the inside of the rear window which attaches with velcro at those 4 points. I leave the bottom two connected all the time. I put the top two on and off when the top is down or up. This in addition to a noodle on the outside.
To replace the rear window (according to the manual) you have to remove the entire soft top. This involves drilling out rivits so it's not something you want to do. Protect the rear window, clean it and hope you will never have to replace it!

The velco is to hold the plastic window protector sheet during transportation. I was there when this rear protector (and the rest of the plastic) was removed from the rear window on my 2001 S2000 silver/red.

I actually saved the plastic/paper window insert that was on the back window. Yes, the velcro tabs are used for this. I used this window insert for a template to cut out a felt panel (available from the local fabric store)to put in it's place when I lower the top. Work's very well!
