Did anyone read what I wrote?? I didn't say it was S2SaV's fault that the accident happened. I don't blame him for a damn thing. It was his reaction to the accident that causes concern to ME! That's all. I have street raced before, and will again, but I know if I watch someone role their car even if I way out of the way, you better believe that I'm going to be like oh crap, and high tail it back and state A Very Bad Day... That's all.

And S2SaV, no problem, I think you understand where I'm coming from. I have no hard feelings or anything. Just keep it safe out there.

This story should mean something more than some of the replys suggest.

Because someone can afford a 44 magnum doesn't mean he should target practice on the streets.

What would have happened if the "pickup kid"(who it seems, deserved what he got) flipped into a school bus full of children, or maybe your girlfriend/brother/wife/parents's car.

Driving this awsome car requires a high level of maturity, intellegence and the utmost in self control, both drivers were equally the cause of this idiocy.

Drive safely.

Question is.......was he driving beyond the capability of his vehicle and would the average person have know that they were beyond that? Answer......HELL YES!

Just watched something last night on a guy who was skiing wrecklessly. Far far beyond his capability he crashed and ended up killing some guy on the mountain.(how I dont know) He was sentanced for involuntary man slauter. Lesser of 2 charges. He was deemed to be skiing beyond the capabilitys of himself and the average person would have known that and slowed down.

Its not S2SaV's fault this kid followed him trying to keep up and ended up crashing his car. S2SaV shouldnt have been driving that fast to begin with but thats his own problem. He didnt hold a gun to the other guys head and say DRIVE!

Noone has mentioned that S2SaV's reaction was actually pretty honorable. He stopped and checked on the poor sap who didn't have the sense to get out of his leaking gas guzzler. I can't believe he wanted you to lie...haha, all he had to say was he saw some animal run out in the road and swerved.

I did some stupid things as a kid, but I never pushed my car over its limits. You have to know your limits...

Hey, I missed the end of that skiing thing, so how many years did he get if any. Seems kinda bogus to me, you ski, sometimes you lose control, sometimes you get into situations that you shouldn't be in, but once it happens its too late. That other guy knew the dangers, so if he hits a tree, he can sue the ski lodge? Theres dangers associated with everything and to try and put that poor guy in jail for an accident that he couldn't control until it was too late is stupid. So did he go to jail?

If you kill a person by accident, the guilt is punishment enough. I hope he didn't go to jail. If he did, I hope he didn't get assigned the prison cell where a real criminal would've been put.

Something similar to me happened about a month ago. I was skiing down a hill within the means of my skill. There were two ski instructors standing in a blind spot on a steep decline just over a brink. I almost hit one and ended up falling down because of my evasive maneuvering. They skiied down to see if I was ok, but you could tell they were angry. They thought I was out of control, but took on a different note when I pointed out that they were having a conversation in the least visible spot on the entire slope. At least no one was hurt (maybe their pride). Things like this can happen though, and there really isn't a whole lot of fault to spread around.

You have to put yourselves in S2SaV shoes. You see a spectacular crash in your rearview mirror, worry about it, and then get an immesurable satisfaction to see the kid walk out unharmed. What's next? You get in your car and go ahead with your daily routine thinking about this impressive experience. What do you feel? I only would feel satisfaction, not for what happened with the kid, but for what would had happened and did't. I guess that's my perspective from working in the medical field. Your success lies in the outcome and not in the facts that caused the illness.

My gawd, Naka! You summed up everything! That was exactly how I felt. It was great seeing a spectacular crash and seeing the kid come out a lil' shaken and embarassed (not to mention stupid for trying to blame it on me, maybe it was his eyebrow piercing that punctured his brain). It was like a real life clip from COPS right in my rear-view. I can't wait to see him around campus and show him my pearly whites. Latez!
