i'm going to order my 2003 s2000 around may and going to recieve it around sept or oct this year. The thing is that I'm going to order my car in my home town Indiana. Since I live in California right now, that means that I have to go and drive my brand new s2000 all the way to Cali from Indy. that's about 2000 some miles I think. Is that a good idea? It'll take around 3 days driving around 600-700 miles straight except rest stops and sleep. My parents did it with my 99 accord v6 with 21000 miles on it and they said it was no truble. Should I expect same from s2000>? brand new? thanks

You'll do fine. Some of us have driven 1200miles in a day.

No problem. 3,500 miles from Boston to L.A. thru Canada was fun for me. Wish I would have time to do it again.

6000 miles in 2 weeks through 11 western states. If/when I get time and the means I plan to do it again. IMO, the S is great for long trips through the more interesting terrain in the country Of course that's just me Averaged 550-650 miles per day on that trip for the days I was travelling (spent some time at one of the places I visited)

I've heard this rumor from other people on this board about 2002 being the last year as well. I guess I can see why, other cars like the z3 and boxster are getting large HP boosts, while Honda would be hardpressed to get any more power out of the 2.0. And one would think that building a bigger engine would require the rest of the car to be "overhauled".

Every single year so far has supposedly been the "last year it will be made." Many salesmen said this to drive the sale of the car. We won't know until later this year, when we might actually be able to see the cars. Honda is generally very secretive about their cars and the development. So although we may be able to spread as many rumors as possible, (remember the glass window debates?), I refuse to believe anything until I see it (or in this case, don't see it) on the dealer lot. Just my opinion

I don' t know any info on 2003 yet... I know the sales person that I'm going to buy very well. Right now, he said that 2003 model is going to take orders starting from may and I should recieve it around sept or oct. That's his thought though. I really hope they'll make 2003..
