VGS is a PIECE!
Guys...think about the roads you drive on. Streets in the states are nice and wide, in fact, most of the tracks are nice and wide compare to that of the Asian or European region. It makes a lot of sense for Honda not to bring the VGS here...we wont have the opportunities to exploit it.
Not really, the VGS is as good as on freeways and on twisting roads or racetracks. With VGS, when you want to change lanes ... It's just like a slight twitch of the wrist and steering and the car moves easily across. It's what I call, high responsive steering capability. The ultimate factor is getting used to it and then, you can truly appreciate it.
How is the road feedback? The non-vgs steering is already fairly dead considering how light the s2000 is. Normally, if you increase the ratio of the steering you will get more feedback, and possibly excessive kickback. But in this case it sounds like the ratio is increased but the effort stays the same, which, intuitively seems like it would have less feedback. How is it in practice?
I'll say the road feedback is more, the steering is ultra responsive. If you move your hand a little bit so much as a twitch of so ... The car doesn't run straight, not that sharp in response but the idea is there. I hope you can understand what I'm trying to explain. That is why people who have not driven it, suddenly hop on and attempt to take it like a normal car ... They have a problem coping with the response the steering feedbacks. But once you get used to it, there isn't much of a complain to think of.
Hi guys I'm about to get an AP2 with VGS. Apart from distinguishing the VGS version by the new steering wheel and the badge at the back, is there another way to make sure it's a VGS and not a normal one with these stuff put on?

Test drive? I don't know what the norm is for HKSAR, but I'd take it for a drive and see if the steering system works.
Besides, custom work is required to swap VGS steering wheel into a standard, so I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Anyway, there are so many 2004+ looking-like White S2000s now in Hong Kong. My car isn't so rare / special anymore
