vibration when turning off engine...
Hi I'm new to this forums....
I've only had my 2003 yellow s2000 for about 6 days now. Everytime I turn off the engine, I feel this moderate vibration from under the car and inside the car. It feels like something is loose around the tranny, drivetrain area. I don't know much about cars, but it seems a bit odd for a new car to do this.
I was hoping it was only temporary, but the problem still exists. Anyone else have experience with this problem? Or is this normal for these cars?
I would appreciate all help....

Ive had my car for 2 weeks and during the initial break in period.. the car would vibrate alot during ignition turn off. I believe its normal.. it has considerably less vibes now when I turn off the car. I have 700 miles on the car now.

I'm not going to tell you that it's normal because I'd have to see it to be able to do that. BUT, my "guess" is that it is normal. Every car engine will shutter upon ignition OFF to some extent. It's just that this engine is unique in that it has very high performance and is tuned to output what it does. Along with this, it has its own particular engine mounting characteristics that will translate into what you have observed. Unless you are talking about "dieseling", which means the engine continues to run and shutter for more than a fraction of a second, you should not be concerned. In time, you will get used to it as most of us have.
If you are really worried about it, meet up with other owners in your area and witness their cars. In the meantime, enjoy your car, check its oil often and break it in properly and don't lose any sleep over the little shit.
