Default Is this video on installing an alarm any good?

Sup fellas,

I plan on installing a Clifford 50.7x alarm in my S pretty soon and came accross this DVD on how to install car alarms.

http://www.caraudiohelp.com/car_alarm_inst...nstallation.htm

I was just wondering if anyone here has already watched them and could tell me if they were good or can advise me on better ones out there.

Thanks,

Eddie

That video may me good for a general understanding of car alarm installation.

When I installed my alarm I just had multiple wiring diagrams and went for it. The alarm system has it's own set of instructions as well. I spent most of the time thinking where to hide the brain and extending the wires. I didnt wire remote start, but a few musts are a back up battery and a tilt sensor. I had a proximity sensor that thing went crazy a year later so i took it out. But it's rather easy.

Thanks wisdom... I also ordered a proximity sensor, but ordered the wrong one. I was going to order the correct one, but after reading your post, I may skip it and opt for the backup battery instead.

The proximity sensor is nice for convertible owners who like to leave their tops down. The most aggrevating thing about them is the fact that you have to adjust them periodically with the weather changes.
