Video regarding Gear Mod
I was wondering, has anybody ever created a video showing the difference gears can make on a car with mph. Ive seen some 4.57 gear vids and the stock s2k top speed vids but wouldn't it be good to may be a video from different mph which had one car geared and one car stock. Since it seems so difficult to video two cars racing(one with 4.57 or 4.77 and the other stock, cant somebody film their mph from lets say 0-10-and 30mph to 110-120. Then we can compare both vehicles and how gears helps with acceleration in certain points. We can even run them at the same time to see how long it takes a geared car to get to 100 compared to a stock car. I currently have 4.77 and will be willing to try this out..
Reason for this post is to make sure gears work, due to the fact when I went to moroso, I was only able to better my quarter-mile time by .1 compared to what many say about .5 or better in the quarter. My time by the way was 14.2

well this will be the at least a way to judge since you really dont see many s2k vs geared s2k vs videos.
my 60ft was 2.2 and when i was stock it was 2.3 60ft for that quarter mile time. I know if I were to have gotten a 1.7 or something that low which some advise they are able to get I would have ran high 13's...

I have seen that video, but in recent post, with myself included, i haven't seen a geared car quarter mile time slip. Also depending on the persons takeoff technique, that could have been the reason for the big lead in this particular video. To give an example, at the track there was another s2k doing the quarter-mile, his times were 15.4-15.2 and 14.8. If i were to have raced him stock for stock, I would have jumped on him without gears since I'm a better driver than him.
Takeoff is a bit tricky for some people so if we can remove that from the equation, it could help in seeing if there is a huge difference in a geared car compared to stock.
