Video of S2000 hitting 174mph...
That's a great one! I'm gonna have to do that next time. They're going to crap their pants when it says that on a city street![QUOTE]Originally posted by Quik S2K
Besides, I love driving with the kmh on instead of mph when there is a passenger.
ThaWyze1-- nah, do it at night on an empty highway, so that way they can't compare your speed to other cars. secretly switch over to KPH while chatting with em casually, then a minute later, floor it.

that's nuts, i get too nervous around 130 when the rear gets to vibrating a little too much and let off. Maybe I'm just a puss right now but I am not trying to wreck that fast on the street.

I've only hit 130 once on Hwy 80 heading West from Sacramento at around 3:30 am, when there was NOBODY on the hwy. as soon as I saw other cars up ahead, even though I could tell they weren't cops (by the tail light shapes), I slowed down and passed at a leisurely pace-- maybe 10 to 15mph faster than them.
It is VERY UNCOOL to blow by a car at a very high speed because your air pressure wave really blows them to the side, and you're likely to catch them off guard and could cause an accident. also, if they just decide to move into your lane-- especially since they see your headlights are so far back that they don't anticipate that they might be cutting off someone travelling 130+mph-- well, you're both in a serious mess. and swerving at 130+mph....

but don't worry about wrecking at 130mph-- it'll probably be the last time you ever wreck anything. walking away from a wipeout at 130+mph is friggin unlikely. you're lucky if you're still in one piece if the car starts rolling (which it easily can do).
