Guys,

I must have copy the wrong number (VIN) because it was getting late. Carfax wasn't able to find it. Does all S2000 start with "JHMAP11453T00"? I copied it "JHMA911453T00". I think I must have wrote "9" instead of "P". By the way, this is an '03 s2000.

Guess I will have to call the owner to confirm again.

All '03 and lower cars begin with JHMAP1 and all '04 begin with JHMAP2. I believe the color and MY are encoded into the following numbers but can't seem to find the decoder in the library anymore.

mine is.........JHMAP1139YT003839

I have a MY00, made in 99.

As I remember, "Y" was the symbol for Model Year 2000 instead of "0", but I might be wrong.

Also there was a Model Year 1999 S2000 sold in Japan.

What do you know about the S being made/sold in Japan? I always thought they had it over there at least one or two years before the US got it. Can you verify and/or send any info or a link?

Since I have a MY00, it would be good to know if it was the "first" year of the return of the "S" line of Hondas.
