Default VIN Sticker removal

I was wondering if it's possible to remove the vin sticker from the panel, cuz I damaged the front end of my car and was thinking of putting the sticker on the new one. Is it possible to remove it?

It is not possible to take that VIN sticker off and put it on the new part. The whole purpose of this sticker is to tell if the car has been hit or not. Sometimes however, the car will come with a spare VIN tag sticker. Putting a new VIN tag on a new panel is kind of like turning back the odometer, but it's not illegal.

If you cleanly remove the entire tab that the VIN is adhered to you can use some double stick tape and stick on top of the tab on the new part. I had my bumper replaced under warranty and this method worked fine. I don't think there is anything wrong with this since, in my case, the part was replaced under warranty.
