Default Visitor shared my garage while i was out

i like to think that i keep my car pretty clean so you can imagine my face when i opened the garage to see this today.

the culprit:

the garage is a detached apartment garage and there is only one one in and out. my only guess is that the cat ran inside while i was moving things to my girlfriend's garage next-door. we left town Thursday morning and got back this evening so the cat was in there at least 4 days.

my method to remove the cat may offend some but it sounded like a great idea at the time. i grabbed a bottle of Simple Green and adjusted the nozzle to stream. i got on the ground and sprayed 1/4 of the bottle before i realized that wasn't working. i grabbed my 9-iron and gave him a few good nudges before he ran out the door.

it looks like he did the Mexican Hat Dance on every paint surface so washed the car to survey the damage. surprisingly, it looks ok after but i won't be sure until i get it out in the sun tomorrow. i would have guessed the softtop would be a prime scratching post but it looks ok....maybe he was declawed.

Christmas was good otherwise...hope everyone else had a good one.

I had a similar experience with my old civic si a couple of years ago. I was parked in the garage with the door rolled up. Was in a rush to go pick up my niece from her daycare before it closed. Came outside to a cat running out of the garage, and my windshield/spot where the wipers sit covered in cat shit. I was so angry. I kept that car spotless (milano red is a beautiful color ).

Consider yourself lucky if you didn't get any scratches. I made the mistake of parking my S overnight at my girlfriend's parent's house one night, and their cat decided it would be a good "sleeping mat". I found scratches on my trunk that were left by its front claws.

It seems as though your kitty culprit probably was declawed. Maybe it was trying to wax the car for you?

So you bought a new one instead of fixing your old one?
