I just ordered the Ti shifter from them. I must say I was very impressed with the speed and thoroughness with which Bob responded. I went with the Ti shifter because of what people had said regarding its increased weight giving a better shifting feel.

The throws are also supposed to be a lot shorter, right???

They do help to shorten shift throw. Droger tried the Voodoo on my S2K and was so impressed with the shift throw, he said he was going to order one as soon as he got back from the Angeles Crest drive.

From my discussions outside of this board, including an extensive one with Bob himself, it all comes down to preference and your desire to hold Ti in your hands when shifting.

The Ti knob is $125 + $5 shipping.

The reason I did not post prices at the Team Voodoo site was because the original main market for the knobs was Miatas, and there are approximately a dozen retailers through which I sell Miata knobs. Each of them has his own pricing, and I didn't want to confuse the issue by posting retail prices at the site when most of my Miata knob sales were wholesale. Also, it is my policy to not compete directly with my retailers for retail sales of Miata knobs.

Things have obviously changed since Voodoo knob sales have expanded into S2000s, C5 Corvettes, and other markets, and I sell at retail directly to those markets.

Recently, Team Voodoo experienced its first significant across-the-board cost increase from its suppliers, and all of the knob prices had to be adjusted. Since this will hopefully result in price stability for some time (prices have only risen across the board once in the history of the company), and since I have now standarized prices by finish across all applications, I will be changing the ordering information page shortly to include knob pricing by finish.

This is what it will say...

Spun aluminum: $29.95
Polished aluminum: $34.95
Powdrcoated aluminum: $29.95 (not relevant for the S2000)
Pearl aluminum: $35.95
Polished titanium: $125.00

Shipping of a single knob is $5.00 (Priority Mail). Multiple knob shipping costs vary according to weight.

CA residents add 7.5% sales tax to the price of the knob.

I hope this helps. I wasn't trying to be secretive; just trying to eliminate confusion. Unfortunately, I appear to have created it instead.

The pearl knobs are at the powdercoater's now. He generally has them for most of a week. The machinist knows I'm in a hurry to receive these knobs so that I can start shipping the backorders, so he should expedite the balance of the process as much as he can.

I hope to be able to start shipping toward the end of next week.

Look at the number of "O"s in "VoodooBob". They look like gear knobs to me. Heh!

All of my retailers are Miata aftermarket specialists. I handle orders for other applications directly, so yes, you can certainly order from me. The only penalty to ordering from Europe or Asia is, of course, shipping cost.

For complete details on payment methods and how to order from Team Voodoo, please visit our ordering information page at http://www.teamvoodoo.com/Voodoo/Ordering.html.

I just received the Pearl Voodoo knob last week but have yet to install it. Hopefully, I will find time to post my thoughts next week.
