Voodoo Knob, threaded or set screw?

Ive got the pearl voodoo knob (aluminum, clear powdercoated), its just great. and it has never gotten hot enough to burn my hand like some have reported.

If you get one, put some plumbers tape on the shifter thread,. It'll stop the knob from working itself loose (unscrewing), but still allow the knob to be taken off again (in case you ever need to remove the console). Don't use loctite!

Maybe you were lucky, or perhaps the Ti is more prone to loosening because of the heavier weight. However, several people here have already mentioned that it does loosen over time - and even TeamVoodoo recommend using loctite to secure it. Also, if you have the gear pattern and/or S2000 logo engraved on the knob (as I do), then you have to align the mark accordingly. This means that you can't just tighten the knob as far as it will go.

Another positive recommendation here for the Voodoo - http://www.teamvoodoo.com/ Titanium shift knob. And I also feel that it doesn't require anything to hold it in place. Actually engraving anything on it really does ruin the complete looks of it. Besides, it's really best the way it has arrived since day one.
