Just saw pictures over at Overboost.com of the new Vortech supercharger (subscription is only $14 per year so I bit the bullet).

The car is silver, with 18" Racing Harts and a factory front spoiler.

The supercharger is more compact than the Comptech kit and blows into a Maxflow air to water INTERCOOLER. Sweet! From there it then flows to the throttle body.

There is a BOV attached to the intercooler as well.

Overall, I must say that I am impressed with what I see in this kit. A better solution, IMO, than the Comptech system.

Hopefully it'll be at a good price...sounds awesome otherwise!

Try pasting these links into a new browser window:

Don't know if it'll work or not.

I just clicked on it and it works... That kit looks sweet! Man, but I wish they had a front mounted intercooler instead. But still a sweet kit....

Have you guys seen what the Vortech setup does for the Team Real Time Racing NSX? They have to keep chopping the HP so Cunningham doesn't blow away all the 993s, audis, and BMWs. Check it out in the Speedvision GT series.

I'm sure once we get the kit, we can custom fabricate something to move the air filter lower, directly in front of the front grill. Like the AEM cold air kit. Just a matter of finding the right size tubes with the right bends....

Where does the water come from for the intercooler? If it's the same as engine coolant, wouldn't this keep the air charge temp at whatever the engine coolant is running at (like close to boiling)? And if it runs its own water system, then it would need its own water pump, right? It would need another rad that goes where????
