Default VSA

I am looking at an 04 w/ very low miles. The only thing holding me back is no VSA on the MY 04. Do yo think it is worth spending the extra $$ on an 06 and getting the VSA?
I have not driven a rear-wheel drive vehicle except for test drives. How likely am I to spin-out w/o the VSA?
I would rather not spend the extra 4K on the 06 but if it is going to save me from a stupid accident...I guess it is worth it.
Thanks

There are more differences between '04 and '06 btw. Also, I may be mistaken, but VSA can be turned off.

Also sounds like you've answered your own question about having VSA.

Either way, good luck with your hunt

VSA will definitely save your butt for everyday driving mistakes. The 4K difference is not just for VSA though.

VSA is well worth it... trust me.

And the 4K difference is not from only from VSA and you can always talk the dealer down from the price he offers you.

If you don't like the price... just get up and walk out. Don't hesitate... just get up and start walking out and trust me, they will try to work something out for you.

Not worth it unless you drive like an a-hole on a regular basis. I have an AP1 that most people agree is more of a handful than AP2's and am usually on 400+ treadware tires on the street and I have to really be trying to be stupid to get the car out of sorts under normal driving.

Tires and knowing how to drive > VSA. Save the 4 grand and buy yourself a nice set of wheels and sticky tires for agressive driving.

Just have to say one thing... no one is perfect!!!! VSA is there to cover the percentage of error that could occur and I don't care if you are Mario Andretti, no one is a perfect driver... sh*t could happen.

Patches of dirt and oil have nothing to do with driver skill.

If you are asking if you need VSA, YOU NEED it! and if you need it, any amount is worth it.

Even if you dont intentionally drive hard all the time, there are moments when it does come in handy.

Its like an airbag, most people dont need it or ever use it, and you dont only need it if you drive like a jackass. Sometimes things just happen.
