Had it in my Vette and wouldn't have bought another s2k if they didn't have it.I believe its gonna be mandatory on all cars by 2010.Actually makes the car more fun, it lets you know when your getting a little too sloppy and reels you in a bit.

VSA is a very good feature, specially on wet roads. I would wait another 10 weeks to get VSA and no cost option is hard to decline.

I had VSA on my previous car (its called VDC - Vehicle Dyamic Control for G35's).

I think its a good thing to have...especially when it rains. Even when its a little wet out, RWD can be tricky for beginners. Also, its good when you push your car a little too much...but it does not mean you can't lose control.

It has one major drawback though...at least my G35 6-speed had this problem. If you want to haul ass and do high RPM shifts, the VDC sometimes kicks in because of the slight tire slippage at gear change. On the G35 it would kick in and the light on the dash would blink VDC and you can feel a loss in power. Gotta turn it off to really get moving without delay.

But...again, i've seen the VDC kick in on corners and such where it has helped me.

I would say get it. But thats coming from somebody who has not yet driven the S2K so just my .02

I had the option of buying an '05 or waiting a couple of months to get an '06 at a higher price. I chose to wait, and VSA was the biggest factor in my decision. That plus the 20 or 30 "I spun out my S and wrecked it" posts I read on this forum.

If it were me, I'd wait and get the VSA. Traction control on public roads is a good thing.

That's what did it for me, too.

Well, that and LBP!

i'm 18 and this is my first car also, i got an 05 so no vsa. You just gotta be smart and not go stupid and go like vtec when its raining or drive two hundred thousand km/h when turning (aka using commen sense) and i think you will be ok. I think VSA is pretty valuable as a back up safety feature, as the best safety is using your brain and commen sense, but waiting 4 months is almost like an eternity... But if it does help in the rain i say go for it or get some really good rain tires; my backed stepped out when i was like going 40 km/h in a turn but i saved it by countersteering and not letting go of the throttle as recommended by people on this board.
