Default VTEC Engagement point

From what I understand the factory setting is 5850rpm, but I know some owners have different numbers. The reason I'm asking is because I don't feel much kick in vtec when I shift past btw. 6-7K? I have a friend with an ITR and when he hits VTEC his car makes this loud bbrrrr sound. Maybe that's because he has a AEM CAI. But I didn't know that the kick/sound would be so humble on a factory s2k. But I'll be getting a CAI soon and I'll see if that's the reason why I don't feel much of a tug or sound during VTEC crossover. I was hoping for more of a pull during VTEC. From what I've been hearing from other members it seems like VTEC is very noticable but I really don't feel that tug whatsoever.

P.S. Do I have a VTEC less Honda...
