Default VTEC horsepower

Im a newb with the s2k. Ive had one for about a month now, and I love it! I love the pull of VTEC. So I was wondering about how much horsepower is given with vtec? It seems that power starts around 5000 rpms on my 01' s2k and only gets stronger the higher i get up. How much horsepower or torque am I getting throughout the VTEC range? I am talking about the difference between power at 3000 rpms vs. vtec.

If im not making sense, heres an example.
My previous car, an 03' Celica GT-S got a 40 horsepower jump just above 6000 rpms.

Do a search for dyno results. You should get a mixture of stock and modified pulls.

without vtec, the car would only be effective up until about 5500 before it lost steam. So, if it makes 120 to the wheels at that rpm, vtec yields 80HP to the wheels.

If the S didn't have VTEC, though, the cam profile would likely be different, tuned to peak at around 5500 before losing steam at 6000 most likely. In that instance VTEC would probably yield more like 60-70HP.
