vtec indicator, anyone?

I have a VTEC indicator. It's called a CAI and coupled with my ears (and the ears of anyone within about a 1/4mi range) it is very apparent when VTEC kicks in.

on the street yes, on the track it should be more precise, not just knowing you are in vtec as much as knowing you are in and out.

Used to have one in my 93 Civic EX about 5 years ago, consisted of an amber LED and some 18 gauge wire... cost me about $4 and 20 minutes worth of time.

Old news. I did this 3 years ago, even added a counter to keep track of the number of times VTEC has been engaged.

Modifry: take a look at www.thomasregister.com for counters. Type in "counter" in the search box and several companies are listed. ENM has a wide assortment of counters and some go to 7 digits.
