Default VTEC question

few questions about VTEC on s2k
is VTEC disabled when oil level is low?
does using synthetic oil make the VTEC less noticeable?

VTEC will not engage if the oil is low. That is correct. Also temps must be up as well - 3 bars!

Synthetic oil has nothing to do with the sound or feeling. Its just more consistent than a conventional oil.

Low oil pressure = no VTEC.
Low oil level = low oil pressure.

Is this correct? That is my understanding.
