Vtec in Reverse?

Yes, you can engage in the S2000 in reverse. The motor doesn't care what gear you are in.

why would it? VTEC is only changing the cam profile and making more power.

wouldnt that make the transmission spin faster in the reverse gear

or maybe i just dont know anything...
i dont have one yet anyways..no manual car..

someone post a vid of engaging vtec in reverse-- im curious to see what happens
(make sure you have plenty of room to reverse) dont crash into anything

I don't think you can rev high enough to engage the secondaries.
But I've never tried or seen it so

Once on an empty street I missed my turn, stopped, put the car in reverse and hit VTEC. I was in a hurry, so I didn't think about how much rpm I was hitting. I think I was around 6500 rpm by the time I stopped and turned into the street I was supposed to turn on. It was a few months back so I don't remember too much about it but I do remember wondering if that f0cked with my transmission.
