Default VTEC transition

I have seen some s2000's with really prononced vtec transitions. What are the best mods to really make this transition more pronounced? Also, my ap1 s2k's vtec transition seems stronger at some times than others. Does anyone know what causes this? Thanks!

Whatever you do don't add an intake or supercharger, it smooths out the transistion.

The fierceness of the changeover depends on the throttle position at the time of transition. Are you pedal to the metal at the times the transition seems different? My guess would be you're not...

At around 6000 rpm (depending on throttle position), an electronic control unit commands a spool valve to open and send oil pressure to pins in the cam followers.

would cams, or maybe the afc power neo from apexi make a difference to the volume of the vtec transition?

as sweet as it sounds, i would shoot you if you drive by three in the morning

it depends on the temp., oil pressure, throttle position and such.

a filter on a stick intake will make it sounds louder, if that' what you mean by "volume"

Depends on throttle positioning, like others are saying. I've driven both AP1's and 2's, In comparison, it seems more noticeable in the F22.
