I only need to wash my car about 5 times a year so I don't think I qualify for a badge.

Props to Wanabe. He moderates a friendly forum that has helped reduce swirl marks in countless S2000. You can learn nearly everything you need to know about detailing your car in this forum. Wanabe is your friend!

We've got water restrictions in most of North Carolina too. Here's what I do.

1. Buy a bottle of Optimum No Rinse from Detailer's Domain
2. Go to grocery store and buy two gallons of distilled water
3. Wash as directed on the label of the Optimum stuff.

You've used exactly zero municipal water doing it this way. Nobody's hassled me yet, but I do keep the empty jugs in plain sight so passersby can see that while yes, I'm washing the car, I haven't even unreeled the hose.

Should this thread be moved to the W&W forum?

Our water restrictions just ended - I can't wait to wash, claybar, polish, and wax my car - its been 6 months without a proper washing!
