Wait to buy 04' S2k? or get 03'
Pretty safe bet, not guaranteed, but safe bet that each model will be better than the previous model year. There have been exceptions with different manufacturers but all in all, auto makers are not in the business of making cars worse.
So far, I am not aware of any changes that have made the S2000 worse. Isn't .92g's the highest skid pad # the S2000 has achieved yet (I may be wrong here). That was achieved by an 03...
Not to start a rumor but I heard the 04 may be more expensive and 05 may bump up to 37+k...what do you get for the money? Who knows? Honda, for the most part knows what they are doing...so you can expect it to be a very nice ride....
You can keep waiting or enjoy now. I chose to enjoy now!
Good luck with your decision!

Everyone dying to see the '04 -- self included.
Honda will make a quality product. But the new debate will rage on which style is better, be sure.
I'm sure the new one will get stuff like "not sporty enough" because an edge or two was softened. But with bigger rims and a torquier engine, others will say it is "more powerful".
It'll happen.
I'm waiting for the '04 to come out because that offers me a choice -- and I like that. The awesome '03 for a bit cheaper (maybe close to invoice) or an '04 which is the "new thang" for MSRP. My guess in my situation is that if the '04 is significantly more expensive than an '03, I'll go with the '03.
But I want to make the comparision FIRST based on test drives and not hearsay.
My 2 cents.

Couple of things to keep in mind if you wait till the 04's come out.gheyland said you guys were in the drivers seat but if there is a color you want it may not be avalable if you want to go with the 03. You know what is here now , if all the stories are TRUE and the 04 has all these items are they what you want? and for more money? Or could you live without them and have an 03 for less money and a color you want?? I do not see that much of a difference between the 2 years and would take the 03 save some money(put it into MODS!!) and get a GREAT low interest rate( may not have it on the 04??) Is all the extra money worth it for a car that might be a little different and you may not like the differences anyway?? Good Luck but you know the old saying about the "Bird In Hand etc."
