Hey guys... let me just comment on how much I love this community so far. Very tasteful and mature group. I currently own a 2001 Celica GT with Turbo and I am handing it over to my fiance. I'm 20, have great credit since I was 18... make 40k a year. I have 7 credit cards and I only owe 3000 on one. I was wondering what my chances are in getting in an S2K and how much you guys average on car payment and insurance per month.

Hmm. An S2000 is going to be a stretch at $40K/yr unless you can put lots down. I suggest picking up a used one, maybe an '00 model with miles. I have no idea what insurance for a 20 yo would be where you live. I'm paying $1200/yr in SoCal, but I'm 34, married and insure my other car and house too. I have a clean record, no tickets, no claims for 5 years.

 

Yeah I am looking at a 2000 with 35,000 miles.
