get a vtec controller and you can bring it down a few revs, but why would u want it all the time?

You need to do some homework on how an engine works. It won't run on "VTEC" all the time.

i understand how vtec works, just not familiar with all the aftermarket vtec controlers. Do they just enguage the vtec solenoid earlier? Who makes the best vtec controler?

But you obviously have no clue what it does to the engine:
maybe all the time?
If you knew how it works and what it does to an engine, you would not have made this statement.

I guess I worded it wrong, just looking for advice on what path i can take to enguage vtec earlier, or maybe a cam upgrade, kinda like the toda vtec killer cam, but without all the nonsense that goes along with thom.

and i do understand how vtec works. There is an additional journal on the cam which has the different profile. At 6k the vtec solenoid engouages the cam follower to follow the higher lift/duration journal. This is my first honda, so like I said, im not really sure what the aftermarket has to offer.
