Want more VTEC!
hook your vtec solinod to a switch - make sure it's getting 12v and it has a ground... when ever you feel the need for some massive VTECH powa!!! just flip the switch and you'll fly!!!!!! It's all the craze now.. Make sure the 3 prog switch that you use is from JAPAN. These switch work best while in VTEK and will hold VTAK longer then other conveitional switches!!

On a serious note, if you want to spend MORE time in VTEC everyday, you should get yourself some gears...
Your top speed will decrease slightly, but you'll be higher in the rev range in every gear= more VTEC!

Unless I am somewhat sadly mistaken, the point of crossover for the VTEC solenoid to engage is chosen to be around 5900 rpm, because at that point the power available from the high lift cam set exceeds the power available from the standard cam set. To engage VTEC at 4000 rpm, for example, should actually reduce performance since the high lift cam is not yet in its power zone. I think some S2000 owners have made small adjustments in that crossover rpm, and perhaps that has some subtle performance enhancing effect. But I have to believe that Honda engineers know how to set up the VTEC parameters.
And, let us not confuse VTEC with VTAC. VTEC is Honda's way of quickening our pulses. VTAC is short for ventricular tachycardia, which is an extremely bad, often lethal, way to quicken our pulses. VTAC is to be avoided at all costs. VTEC is to be sought out whenever the law and safety allow it.
