Thanks guys, maybe I'll go up to a dealership this weekend and let them quote me on an interest rate. Should i take pay stubs with me?
It does not hurt to take them with you but only show it to them if they ask. My opinion.

Great advice guys, Keep them coming. I really want one now, but damn the winter coming soon here in Maryland. So i think i'll wait til March to get one. It will be my daily driver probably for some months until i can buy another car for winter driving.

I know it's hard but now is the time to buy your S. I live in Pittsburgh and just picked mine up for a great price last month. Three other dealers are trying to get rid of their 05's I also know a dealer that has an '04 with 15K miles Blue on Blue for around $24,500 here in Pittsburgh. Being an owner of an Element, it was much easier to get financinig through Honda and as of last month had the best rates of all. 6.5%
With your situation it might be best to stick with Honda because of your proven track record. Good luck hope to hook up in the Spring.

I wish I had a beater car right now so that I could garage an S. I think i'll wait since i'll have more money for a down payment. I just dont want an interest rate of like 10+ %. That would not be worth it to me.

Just call AHF and ask them. They want to keep you in a Honda and will be the only one to give you a straight answer.

You think by calling AHF they can give me an answer over the phone as far as what my interest rate would be?

You have 30 day window when you apply for financing. If you get the approval it's good for 30 days. Honda's rates went up a little for new cars. But you still have special financing for Certified Pre-Owned. If you've been with honda for a year, and you did what you were supposed to do, you'll probably get approved instantly...I don't know about rates and such - it depends on your score and the term. 10% sounds right if you think your score is weak and you want to go more than 60 months. Your first step however is to find a car. No point worrying about financing if you haven't found a ride yet!

Do they give 60 month financing for used cars or is that only for new cars. 60 months is plenty. Even 48 months i could live with. I'm sure I can find a ride. I'm just trying to see ahead of time what my situation will be going in.

i paid off my car the first day, no points of paying 1/5 more of the car in interest alone.
