Not to hijack this thread but can you go stated for cars like you can for mortgages. I've got a lot of CC debt but have good scores (717 middle) but I really need a new car since my 91 prelude is drinking 3 quarts of oil every 2 weeks. I also have 4 previous car loans and don't have a single deroragtory on my credit. I do mortgages for a living so that's how I know my scores
