I've always told my clients that the VTEC won't engage, and you'll have early rev limit until they have around "3 bars" showing on the 04-06 instrument panel. I do know that coolant temp. has absolutley nothing to do with oil press. or oil temp, but merely used as a reference to when the fun begins.
