warming up the car and ecu
Hi. should i wait my car to warm up 2 or 3 bars before i go. or should i just wait for the 'sound' to come before i go? (the sound that car makes like a blow-off valve)
And i m still confused about the ecu reseting . i got new stuff for my car (intake , header , exhaust with test pipe) do i have to reset my ecu? or just let it learn? if i let the ecu learn . whats the technique of that? like driving the car hard for 1-2 hours ? or letting it learn in a longer time like a month or so.
thanks

Don't reset your ECU just because you put new stuff on the car. It'll learn on its own in time (several driving cycles). If you reset the thing, it'll go back to its default settings and have to learn everything all over again. Unless you have a problem with the car that you are trying to resolve, resetting the ECU is not necessary.

the sound he's talking about might be the whistle of the emissions air pump...?

And no, you don't wait for the airpump to stop. Sometimes, it can run for 1/2 a minute and other times, it can run for several minutes.

I always let it warm up until I get 3 bars. The noise always goes off by the time I reached the 3 bars. Its being two years and my car has never burn a drop of oil and runs smooth and strong as a champ. I don't think that has nothing to do with it but I always like to think so.
