Default Warning about CAI

We got a s2000 at the honda shop with the #4 cylinder scoring problem. but its not what you expect, the CAI sucked up dirt/rocks and caused the internals to break up and score the cylinder wall(ill get more details). be careful, not only you have to worry about sucking up water(hydrolock) BUT you can also suck up debris(rocks, etc) which can cause major engine damage. CAI's are not worth it for the extra 3 hp.

keep it safe.

Keep the filter clean and in place and this is not an issue.

was there a lack of oil on the filter itself? Or maybe even a CAI that was far too dirty and needed replacing?
