I just had my oil changed at Braman Honda this past Saturday and they friggin installed the wrong oil filter! What harm will this do to the engine? What's wrong with the smaller, wrong oil filter that it can't be used on the S2000?

I already made arrangements to have this remedied by the dealer on Saturday, but should I call Honda Customer Service and file a complaint against the dealer so they have it on record in case something were to happen to my engine in the future?

Great I just got off the phone with them again and they are denying that they installed the wrong oil filter and they claim its the right one and will not pay to have to removed, or for the right oil filter part or to flush the old oil out and new oil to be put in.

I would PM hardtopguy and see if he can get you the new bulletin #. I'll look for it and see if I can find it though.

I don't have the number, but the bulletin went out in July about the PCX filter from AHM. That's quite awhile for them to still be using the old ones.

They don't have to change the oil, just the filter. It's very simple. Unscrew the small oil filter that is marked 15400-PLM-A01, screw on the oil filter that is marked 15400-PCX-004, and go driving. I'll go ahead and make the assumption that you're not going to let these ignorant hacks touch your car again.

Nope... You can search by Publication # but since no one has it, it won't help.

I just need to find this document and bring it with me Saturday to show the dealer that I'm right.

Thanks 3ngin33r1.

Damn! same thing happened to me. I bought a filter at Honda last week and they told me about "the new filter". Not knowing, I took it.

The good news, I have been so busy, I have not had time to change my oil yet. Looks like they are getting a call from me and I will surely be returning the filter.
