Depends on the dealer and his relationship with them. They don't have to fix it, but sometimes they will.

it would be good if your friend did his services at the dealer and established a rapport with a service advisor. Just walking in and asking will almost certainly get a NO.

I've said it before and I will say it again (and again...): TSBs have nothing to do with the warranty. As others have pointed out, it all depends on the relationship with the service advisor. I had my clutch TSB done after my warranty expired. And I just had the "hub nut" TSB done last month, more than 4.5 years after I bought the car (new). So yes, TSBs are done routinely after the warranty expires, IF you have a good relationship with the service guys.

Yeah I just had the clutch rattle and hub nut tsb done this week. It was after the 36k warranty but I bought a certified used s2k, so maybe thats why they did it for me.

One thing though, they replaced the clutch disk but it didn't fix the rattle. If anything it made it worse.

what is this hub nut TSB?

Is it a slight vibration and almost slight 'thumping' when accellerating at higher speeds at full throttle?

I took mine in becaue I had a clunk or a clicking type noise coming from the rear end when I accelerated from a stop.

I just got my car back from the dealership yesterday, actually.

They replaced my clutch disc, pressure plate and bearings for free... and my car has been out of warranty.

It definitely fixed the rattling problem.
