Water in Comptech intake box....?
Is this a serious problem? Its not alot of water I would say 10-15 ML of water. I am not to good with the metric system so I could be off. Will t his water get sucked into my engine? I think some more water got on the filter. Is this a problem? Its not alot of water its just from washing my car but I have read that water and intake don't go togethr very well. Thanks
if its from wasxing your car then dont worry too much. just get the water out and let the filter dry properly. the comptech box prevents hydrolock, but anything is possible with water. be care full when it rains heavy.
i seriously would not worry. wet filters are no problem.
engines that hydrolock are not sucking up DROPS. they are ingesting water instead of air. you'd have to ingest enough water to seriously impede the flow of air.
you've just gotten it wet. that is NOT going to do anything.

I haven't had any problem with water but I notice sometimes it does get wet. But don't worry about the filter to much if it gets wet. If you really want the filter to dry out just leave it out in the sun just remember to reapply the oil back on there.
I get water in mine also evertime I wash the car, I think that I'm going to tape of the rail and the box before each wash so that I dont have to take the cover off and dry the box. I might even just put the stock box back on !!
