Default Water in trunk.

What would cause me to get water in my trunk?

I was cleaning it out today and something had fallen into the tool tray. When I took the cover off I noticed it was wet on the under side. Upon further inspection the tools were all wet. I took the tray out and there was actually an inch or 2 of standing water underneath the tray.

I have no idea how that happened. We had extremely heavy rain the past 2 days but water still shouldn't have gotten in the trunk.

Any ideas on this guys?

look for small cuts or fraying in your molding. make sure it isn't flattened or warped.

this happened to my car. i don't know how the s2000 looks in the trunk but peel back the carpet and check if the water is leaking through the taillights. that's going to be my bet, that's where mine was leaking and i just bought some sealant tube for 5$ at autozone sealed em up agagin and good to go.

Have you ever had work done on your soft top?

The water get into your trunk through the air outlet locacted behind your rear bumper. Here's a link check it out.

There's nothing wrong with any of the weather strip.

So is that vent and the tail lights the only spots where it would leak from?
